Sometimes you need to lose something before you can find it
This is a book about friendship, un-friending, facing your demons in the closet and accepting change. It is the collective story and individual stories of Will, Cat and Pen as they go through ten years of their lives; sometime they go together and sometimes apart. This a story where the dialogue between the characters is witty, poignant and sometimes dismaying. This is the story of characters that are believable, well defined and approachable. This is a story for people who have had dear friends in the past and who have dear friends today. In Falling Together, you will take a journey with Will, Cat and Pen; it is a journey we have all lived in some way, shape or form. It is a journey about friends. This book is a journey worth taking.

Wonderful characters!!!
Marisa de los Santos always does a great job with her characters, you care about them from the very beginning and can picture them clear as day! I think that's a great talent. I've read a few of her books in the past and will continue to pick up anymore that she writes!

The Journey - Not the destination
This book was a fast read that kept the reader's attention as it explored the friendship between a group of 3 people. For readers who are more interested in going on a journey than in the concrete destination at the end of the story this book is for you. I would definitely recommend this as a book club selection because I think this book has a lot to offer for lively discussions (exploring friendships, falling out of relationships, reuniting and the factors influencing the choices people make). While I think this is a great book for a book club selection because of the discussions that can be had around the book, i would not choose this book to read on a vacation or a weekend afternoon. I did not particularly like and was unable to relate to any of the main characters. If you are a reader who enjoys strong female characters, you maybe disappointed in the female characters in this book.

Conflicted
I write this review feeling conflicted. I loved the characters and the plot, however, sometimes it was a bit too unrealistic for me. I am a practical person and couldn't get my mind around some of the events that took place. I was spellbound by the book and couldn't put it down. I kept hoping good things for Pen.

Likeable
Once again, Marisa De Los Santos shows her mastery of the language of relationships in Falling Together. Her characters are likeable with convincing dialogue. Though the plot is a bit of a stretch to believe, Falling Together overall is a satisfying read.

To Be or Not To Be?
Can old friends every return to their level of friendship that was developed so intimately in those college years? Can hidden feelings that were developed still say hidden when old friends meet again? Marisa De Los Santos in her new novel, Falling Together, explores these questions in the characters of Pen, Will and Cat. Somewhat developing a mystery of Pen and Will trying to find Cat deep emotions of all characters feelings are revealed. Ms. De Los Santos always does an engaging prose of relationships. I have always found that to be her great strength as an author. As her other books have shown, the reader really cares about these characters, not only their past lives but what has happened to them in the present. The book wont disappoint.

Falling Together by Marisa de los Santos
This was a fast read. However I didn't find the characters as endearing as the ones in her first two books. The use of the third friend "Cat" and making her so important in the story by word not action seemed unnecessary to me even a little bit of a waste. The only time she was important was when Jason entered the picture and she became part of the action. I found Will and Jaime and their mothers to be warm and engaging characters. Pen was not , to me, a real sympathetic person; she was too needy and lacking in personality--too weak. What I did find exceptional was the author's explanation of feelings and situations in the story beautifully narrated. For example, Will's mother's description of her new love. The outcome of the story seems to negate the title of the book which should not be so negative. It should be more uplifting in keeping with what happened in the story. In my opinion, because the outcome of the story is positive, the title should be, too. The theme of the story is that love conquers all. I found the book to be a good read and well written.
