Jane and Dan at the End of the World
by Colleen Oakley
Lighthearted Book with a Sinister Plot (1/2/2025)
This book caught me off guard as while there are funny moments in the book the main plot line is that Jane and Dan are being held hostage so it is very serious situation that the author does make efforts to lighten through some plot points. I recommend reading if you can get past that.
Songs of Summer
by Jane L. Rosen
If you like Elin Hilderbrand Novels, I recommend reading! (1/2/2025)
This book surprised me in how quickly I was invested in Maggie's story so it was a quick read and very enjoyable. Songs of Summer is written from multiple perspectives which drives the plot forward and allows for more interesting character development since you know things before the other characters do. I loved that the chapter titles are named after songs which is very fitting based on the title. Songs of Summer takes place in Fire Island so I recommend reading if you want to escape to somewhere warm!
Beast of the North Woods: Monster Hunter Mysteries #3
by Annelise Ryan
Plot twists that keep you on your toes! (11/15/2024)
I really enjoyed reading Beasts of the North Woods and it actually exceeded my expectations as it wasn't a predictable plot which can often be the case with mysteries. The plot twists kept me guessing! I will definitely be reading Anneliese Ryan's next book!
Pony Confidential
by Christina Lynch
A book for horse & whodunnit lovers (5/29/2024)
I struggled to get into this book at first as I couldn't get past that the book was written partly from a horse's perspective. However, the book gets you caught in the whodunnit of the plot and towards the end of the book, I couldn't set it down as I was curious how the book would end. I think this book is great for people who appreciate the connections & relationships humans can have with animals.
