Olive Kitteridge
by Elizabeth Strout
Olive is unforgettable.(7/11/2021)
Olive isn't always likeable, but who cares? She is a memorable character I would want to know. The stories are superb, well worth rereading over and over again.
Amy Tan is a master storyteller and wordsmith. The growing Cecil B. DeMille cast of characters inspired me to keep a Who's Who cheat sheet, which worked very well for me. The mixture of humour and brutal reality was deftly handled by the author, and was in complete harmony …more with the voice of the engaging narrator. I loved this book and highly recommend it.(less)
