The Splendid and the Vile: A Saga of Churchill, Family, and Defiance During the Blitz
by Erik Larson
It was OK (1/10/2021)
Expected much more after The Devil in the White City. This was much less. A big gossipy. Very readable and predictable. All tied to Pearl Harbor attack that got the US President to come on board.
Everybody's Fool
by Richard Russo
Did not care for the plot(s) or characters. (7/28/2016)
Too unstructured, and I did not care about any of the characters. Written well, but plot(s) not engaging.
