Mating for Life
by Marissa Stapley
Mating for Life (4/16/2014)
It took me a while to get into this book. When that happens I just put it aside and begin again. I am so glad I did. I loved this book with it's many characters and all the problems that everyone has, including resolutions that are not always blue sky but reality. Don't miss this one!
Safe with Me

Not my normal reading matter...... (11/13/2013)
Thank God for Bookbrowse! BB pulls me away from my first love of Thrillers with yet another good book I would have missed. Very timely topics give this book a lot of punch. A great book for book clubs and anyone who wonders what they would do if the unthinkable happens to them!
Through the Evil Days: A Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne Mystery
by Julia Spencer-Fleming
Old Friends and Winter (9/11/2013)
After having read all the books in this series, I was looking forward to the continuation of the series. I was not disappointed. This book had several plot lines going on and I enjoyed all the lines and how they contributed to the complexity of the book. I loved that Claire is pregnant and Russ is conflicted, but not in his love for Claire. I like books that include the weather as another impact to the book and Julia never forgot the weather in this one! As my son is a vet who spent time in Iraq, I appreciate Claire's struggle with PTSD. This was possibly the best of the series!
The Watch: A Novel
by Joydeep Roy-Bhattacharya
I shed tears..... (9/11/2013)
This book was an eye opener about the war and its impact. I enjoyed it while I cried. I recommend it highly to all to gain a better understanding of both cultures.
Coming Clean: A Memoir
by Kimberly Rae Miller
Unputdownable! (Is that a word?) (6/26/2013)
I have seen the various "hoarders" shows on television and cringed just like everyone else and wondered how could people live this way. I had also seen the tears and the pain of the children and family members of the hoarders. This book is written by the child of hoarders and her pain is felt by the reader in each chapter. I couldn't stop reading, I had to see how she lived and how she coped with her life as she grew. Also amazing is how much she loved her parents and how much they loved her but were simply unable to change the way they lived. A truly enjoyable and informative book.
