Precious Thing
by Colette McBeth
Interesting friendship (1/5/2014)
Ms. McBeth has a strong future ahead of her. Her characters and their relationships were well developed and compelling. I found myself identifying and cheering for with the narrator. My only complaint was with the pacing of the book - it felt a little choppy.
The Red Book: A Novel
by Deborah Copaken Kogan
I really couldn't relate.... (2/23/2012)
I really couldn't related to these characters even though I only graduated from college 4 years earlier but I did want to hear more about their lives. My favorite part of the book is the jail scene - I loved that! Parking tickets - who would have thought....
The Homecoming of Samuel Lake: A Novel
by Jenny Wingfield
I love this family! (7/9/2011)
I truly enjoyed the Lake family! I was especially taken by the daughter, Swan Lake. She reminded me of Scout Finch from "To Kill a Mockingbird". Swan showed courage, determination and love for her family! This is a great summer read especially if you are headed back homemore
Heat Wave: A Novel
by Nancy Thayer

The Ghost of Milagro Creek
by Melanie Sumner
I just don't get it..... (7/24/2010)
I have a tough time understanding a story with mystical and spiritual elements. The story jumped between time frames and was difficult for me to understand. However, I did want to keep reading - I found the characters and the locations compelling.
