Alice I Have Been
by Melanie Benjamin
Alice I Have Been (10/20/2009)
Melanie Benjamin weaves a fantastic mix of fact and fiction as she tells the story of the girl who inspired 'Alice in Wonderland' and the woman she grew up to become. This is a wonderful and engaging story that kept me hooked from the start.
Night Navigation
by Ginnah Howard
Excellent Book (3/6/2009)
I found this to be a great read. As a mental health professional I found myself reading a story that I've seen play out more than once with families I've worked with. Del, the enabling mother struggling to want to give her son "tough love" but also wanting to just protectmore
Blacklight Blue: The Third Enzo Files
by Peter May
Fantastic (9/4/2008)
Having never read the previous Enzo novels I was pleased to find that the book, the 3rd in a series, was readable as a stand alone novel. Peter May takes you on a thrilling mystery tour where just when you think you have it figured out it turns out that you're not evenmore
The Marriage of True Minds
by Stephen Evans
Charming read (2/14/2008)
The Marriage of True Minds was a fantastic treat - filled with humor, quick-wit, and a hand puppet named Sancho there was plenty in this book to love. At just under 200 pages it was a quick read that showed that sometimes the definition of insanity is love.
The View from Mount Joy: A Novel
by Lorna Landvik
Enjoyable View (9/20/2007)
Having never read any of Lorna Landvik's books I was unsure what to expect from The View From Mount Joy. What I found was a great read that made me both laugh and cry and characters that were thoroughly enjoyable to read about. I would highly recommend this book to others.
