The Stolen Child did not live up to my expectations at all. I was rather excited about reading the book, since I had heard nothing but rave reviews over it. It was picked as the selection for my most current reading group, and overall the feeling was that the book, while …more being ok, never captivated us, or pulled us in. I am not sorry that I took the time to read it, but I won’t spend the time to re-read it in the future as I do with other books that blow me out of the water. The writing was very well done and the story concept was a good one, but sadly the book, once finished, was forgotten and non-memorable. (less)
