Josie reacted as she did in the meeting to fit in with her peers. And afterwards, she thought no more about her thoughtless remark. The Morgan Falls incident was different. Josie perhaps saw Klara might take her place in the family without too much effort-----an artificial Josie, yes, but one, most importantly, who wasn't sick.
