What do you think Plan Number One will entail? What does the future hold for these characters? Which character did you feel most drawn to and invested in by the novel's end?

I loved both Sally and Eve. Both of these characters had their lives shaken up and leveraged a unique opportunity on the narrow boat that resulted in some wonderful friendships and room for reflection to see a path forward in their lives.

I felt invested in Eve more because I have worked at the same place for many years in science and I could really relate to her situation. I really wanted to see what she did at the end - if she would go back to the corporate world or follow a different path.

I admire Anastasia’s life choices and willingness to trust Sally and Eve with her floating home. She is at a stage of life where health and physical strength are changing her options. She seems able and willing to deal with what life throws at her.
