Joe repeatedly asks Sam, his dead brother, for a sign about which direction to go. Do you have any rituals or superstitions that you use when trying to decide between two options?

I go within, think of the situation, the choices, get quiet, then go with the tendency that comes from the internal dialog.

I tend to think about both options, think about which option is most true to who I am, weigh the consequences, and then make a decision.

I tend to make lists of pluses and minuses associated with each choice. That tends to give me some clarity and provide justification for the decision I ultimately make.
Sometimes, though, I just flip a coin. Often that'll illuminate which direction my heart really wants. If I feel disappointed by the result that means I really wanted to do the opposite.

I like to sit quietly, journal some thoughts, call upon my ancestors to help guide me. Then I might use a pendulum. Ask it a question and have a paper with yes and no written on it. Let my subconscious guide the pendulum to the "right" answer. Sometimes I do what Kim K does...flip a coin and see if I'm disappointed with its outcome; then I know what I really wanted out of the question.

I pray about the big decisions I need to make in my life. Always looking for a sign from God that I'm doing the right thing. Sometimes it is apparent, sometimes not. But I do believe that God speaks to me if I quiet my thoughts and open my mind enough to listen.

No, no rituals. If I'm really struggling, I'll talk to someone I trust to help sort out my thoughts, but in the end, I make my own decisions.
