Why do you think Cassie decided to share the inheritance with Tate and Elda? Do you think it was the right thing to do?

I think she did that because she wanted to keep them in her life - she needs a family, she also knew they deserved at least some of it, and she also must have recognized that there was more than she had more than she could ever want and need.

She felt that June would have wanted her to do that. But I also think she wanted to keep them as part of her life. She had no other family.

I agree about the family connection. Also, I doubt if she was dividing it by thirds.
