I think Reno was doing a "tough love" on Ben. Reno could relate to what Ben was dealing with.

I think Reno did what he had to do. Someone he cared about had been hurt and he wanted to let Ben know just how badly he had hurt Becca. Reno realized that Ben was not fully aware of how serious his actions were and he need to make Ben stop and think.

Initially I did not like Reno - but I did at the end - and I think what he did for Ben was done out of concern and what Reno thought was best for him. And it ended up being true.

I agree with others that Reno was using "tough love" on Ben. He was protecting both Ben and Becca. Hopefully keeping Ben safe from driving drunk and giving his time to think about his actions and how he will interact with Becca.

I think Reno is also the hero in this story. He was protecting both Becca and Ben, and, of course, King.

I liked Reno from the very beginning. Although he was gruff, he was forthright and willing to do and say what needed to be. I wanted to punch Ben in the face, I would have never had the guts to actually do it. Reno did. I also think Reno understood what Ben was going through coming home from the war. Dropping him in the middle of nowhere with a few directions helped Ben acclimate back to the world he was going to have to participate in. It was tough, but ultimately necessary.

I think Reno was doing what he had to do to snap Ben back to reality. He was really about the only character that I liked.
