How about the quality of the book

This book was to be a mystery. Did anyone find the technique of using flashbacks very difficult to follow?. I know I did. Many times the flashback was presented as if Faulk knew all this, but that was impossible. Although I enjoyed the story, it took me about 150 pages to get to a point where I could follow the dialogue.
