My first book, Beneath a Marble Sky: A Novel of the Taj Mahal, came out in late 2004 and has done quite well. It has garnered great reviews and hit best-seller lists. We've also sold the movie rights to Hollywood, and Penguin is publishing a beautiful trade paperback edition in June of 2006.
My novel is based on the remarkable story behind the creation of the Taj Mahal. Beneath a Marble Sky is a story that centers on love, but also is rife with action and intrigue. My novel is probably most similar to Memoirs of a Geisha.
