I thought this was a very good book because it is about a girl with no friends until she meets Winn-Dixie. Although I read this book for a book club book I still had to read it by myself. I thought that Opal and all of the characters where very good.

We loved this story so much! We read this story in our 4th grade class. It is kind of like the candy that is talked about in the story called the Litimus Lozenges sweet and sad at the same time. We love all the characters. We enjoyed when something sad turned into something great. It doesn't matter how old you are 4,10,65,78,99, or 100 you will enjoy this story very much no matter how many times you read it.
