This book was amazing in more ways then one, simply for the fact that I couldn't put it down. The reality of the situation he has put himself in and how he can come to terms with himself is amazing. I want to meet James Frey to tell him how proud I am of him even tho I don't know him at all. A definite must read...

I started to read this book in school because I was in a group for and english class and we had to read a book and do a review!!! We all choose this book because we heard that it was an inspirational book and that it was one of those books u would not be able to out down. and WAS IT EVER!!!! This might have been the BEST book that I have ever read!!! It was so insightful yet you could feel his emotions without actually going through them. I totally recommend this book to EVERYONE and hope that people get the same insight that I took away!!!

Well when i started reading i thought it was gonna be like any other book that was boring an i just got it from the library while walking home i started reading it i said ''man it's gonna take a life to finish'' so i kept on reading it an i couldent stop my parents would tell me to stop reading, i just couldent stop is so intense. i will ask my sis not to turn the lights off so i could read 5 more pages when i realized i was in page 271 it was sooo good , while i was reading it i realized my life its not that hard, i make it hard,i also realized that us being human we dont need nothing bigger then us too quit or to stay stablished you just need too hold on an wait and fight an you will fight for the person you love an for your self. me with 17 years old going to 18 i learned a lot with this book it only took me 1 week too read it every single day from the day i got it till yesterday . i just hope people james frey try to survive an if they are strugguling with drugs an alcohol you should read this book.

Outstanding, this book is so well written, quick, easy reading but yet you still fell as if you know the charaters while your reading, very emotional good for any age to read i highly recommend it to everyone wanting to read the one book that will make you say stay up until its finished!

I'm only 14. And this is the most powerful book I have read in a long time. I really had enjoyed it. If others are looking for a cure from addiction or abuse from pain then this is the book to go to. I don't know how the life of a drug-dealer or a person addicted to drugs is but Mr. James, he really tells of how the life of a drug-dealer might be or how it is. My favorite charchter was Lily. I had enjoyed reading about her, but one question that getts me is, why Lily why? But some of it was not the truth. I would have gaven this a 5 but he still lied.

Today is my 39th birthday. I have been a drug addict for as long as I can remember. I have tried to quit numerous times throughout my life with limited success. I have tried NA, AA, and other twelve step programs with the same result. When I started reading A Million Little Pieces I was still an active drug user - by the time I finished the book (the first book I ever finished reading) the desire to continue to use was no longer overwhelming and to that I owe it to the author James Frey. I cannot explain in detail why this has happened or why the desire no longer exists - it has been 3 months since I have used drugs of any kind, before this book my record of staying clean was 9 days. Something I needed on a daily basis before for over 25 years is simply gone. The desire to use is gone, gone. I have read and heard of the reports from the Smoking Gun on the author and their suggestion he is a fraud. I believe I am living proof that the author is no fraud and I would encourage other addicts to read this book with an open mind and my hope is the affects will be the same for you as there were for me - freedom at last. Thank you James Frey, thank you!

Thank you for sharing your experiences to give hope to people who are in recovery, one day at a time. SHAME on the Smoking Gun for trying to diminish your efforts and take a book that was developed to help others into a debate of how accurately your "t's" were crossed and your "i's" dotted! Smoking Gun must be supported by Tom Cruise. Most likely neither Smoking Gun Staff nor Tom Cruise have never experienced a difficult day in their life - but know all about tragedy, coping, striving to thrive - and just know everything!

this book was a great read and they way frey wrote it is awesome i liked reading this and i usually dont read anything, other books i read and liked as much as this one are like go ask alice and the lost boy this book is very kool i like how he talked about the drugs and how it was so hard to get off them it felt like i was there but i agree with alot of the people on here saying that it sounds more like fiction than non but still a good read....
