Sam Thomas Biography
Sam (Samuel) Thomas is an assistant professor of history at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He has received research grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Newberry Library, and the British Academy. He has published articles on topics ranging from ranging from early modern midwifery to girls' education in colonial Kenya. He is the author of A Midwife's Tale, a historical monograph on midwifery in seventeenth-century England. He lives in Shaker Heights, Ohio with his wife and two sons.
