Diane S. Darkness my Old Friend by Lisa Unger Four threads tie together in this psychological suspense novel. Elois the psychic from Unger's previous novel Fragile. plays a prominent role in this one and she is a character that I find very interesting. Also Jones Cooper attempts to find a new phase in his life after leaving the police dept. and is of course embroiled in these story lines. Secrets, how the past affects the future and a young girl attempting to come to terms with her new home and life are the main basis of this book.
Lisa Unger is an award winning New York Times, USA Today and international bestselling author. Her novels include Darkness, My Old Friend, Fragile, Die For You, Black Out, Sliver of Truth, and Beautiful Lies.
She was born in New Haven, Connecticut (1970) but grew up in the Netherlands, England and New Jersey. A graduate of the New School for Social Research, Unger spent many years living and working in New York City. She then left a career in publicity to become a full-time author. She now lives in Florida with her husband and daughter.
