Outside Wonderland by Lorna Jane Cook
This book is about a family that has no idea their deceased parents watch everything they do, kind of like Lovely Bones meets Touched by an Angel. The plot is a bit trite but it was an enjoyable story and I liked the character development. The story kept my interest and it would probably make a good book group discussion.

Even though I cared about the characters and what happened to them, the book seemed just a step above a romance novel or soap opera. The writing was competent, but not exciting. I will not recommend it to demanding readers.

Watching from "Here"
You will journey into the lives of three adult siblings who lost their parents as children; Alice, Dinah, and Griffen, (named after the characters in the Lewis Carroll stories).
Each one, in very different ways, tries to cope and to find happiness in their lives and the world. As you watch them try and navigate their way in the world, you will also see their lives through their 'parents' eyes up in Heaven, ("Here").
Loss, betrayal, faith, love and family are some of the themes running through this novel
If you are not open to religious themes, this novel may not be for you.

Love and beyond
The main subject of this book is the love lives of the brother and two sisters whose mother and father died when the children were very young. There was a lot of sadness in each of the three adults' lives. I personally felt that the book would have sustained itself without adding the viewpoints of the mother and father throughout the story.

Outside Wonderland
Couldn't put the book down. The life situations that the Stenen's went through were believable. A storyline going for each of the Stenens but still their lives were intermingled with joy, sorrow, happiness and loss. I had to keep reading to see what choices each of them would be making. The chapters with parents "watching over" them didn't really add anything to the book for me and I found myself just skimming them by the end of the book.

Outstanding.
I read Outside Wonderland in one setting because I couldn't put it down. It is a fascinating story, very unusual with believable characters and events. The idea of how Heaven (or whatever) might be is beautiful. This is a beautifully written and the Epilogue is something to be read again and again. Simply amazing.
