The publishing world is closing following the Northshire bookstore in Manchester Center, Vermont - the first independent bookstore to install an Espresso Book Machine, that can print books on demand in a matter of minutes.
The machine, which the staff lovingly refer to as "Lurch" can potentially print on demand any book ever published (although the current selection is more limited) in versions of similar quality to a traditional paperback, and can also print original books written by customers.
