A Wild Ride
The Marriage of True Minds has it all: eccentricity, madness, compelling characters, and a hand puppet named Sancho. This is a truly wonderful read! I laughed, I cried, and I laughed again. The characters in this book are incredibly fun and I would like to learn more about them. Hopefully, Stephen Evans will include them in his next book- which I hope will be coming soon!! Write faster, Mr. Evans! A great story about modern love and the daily pressures that keep us sane- or insane!!

The Marriage of True Minds
Laugh out loud funny. It is a beach read and if you live in the snow belt a great snow day read. It is a little off the wall but very enjoyable. I have never read a book with a story line quite like this

True Minds?
Parts of this book were absolutely sweet and a few of the characters were incredibly lovable. One of the main characters didn't resonate so much for me but it didn't detract from my appreciation of the novel. I recommend it if you like to see different ideas of love and relationships.

Is Nick Really Crazy?
This funny and touching novel will have you laughing one minute and questioning your definition of "crazy" the next. With witty dialogue and unforgettable characters including a puppet and a soon-to-be-euthanized wolfhound, Evans has crafted a book about a partnership that survives in spite of all odds. Animal lovers will especially be charmed by Nick's strategy in saving the animals in the shelter.

A different little book
I had trouble deciding whether I liked this book, or not. I still haven't decided. It isn't very long, and it isn't difficult reading. It has many attributes but, having said that, it almost seemed like a pointless story. I liked the characters and the dialog was sometimes funny and sometimes very touching. I read a lot and many books stay with me for days and a few, even a lifetime. This will not be one of those books. Frankly, I wouldn't have appreciated paying $14.95 for this book even if "a portion of the profits will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society." You would be better off donating the money directly if you wanted to help animals. I hate saying this about any book, but it seemed to me to almost be a waste of time reading it.

Nothing great....
The Marriage of True Minds was nothing great. Initially, I wasn't sure that I would be able to finish it but plugged along because I knew that I had to. I couldn't help feeling like I was reading a movie script with Jim Carey cast as the main character. In spite of that ( or perhaps because of it! ), I managed to finish the book in a few days. It was a light, easy, funny read with a somewhat interesting story line but nothing very deep or surprising.

Rated 3 of 5 of 5 by Carolyn (Evanston IL)

So-so read
I really liked the premise of this book, so I was surprised when I didn't like the book itself. I love books with humor, but found things like the puppet just sort of stupid. The ideas were great, but this just wasn't for me.
