Unanswered Mystery (6/7/2026)
I liked this book. It was a quick, short story and I enjoyed the premise. I liked the way new characters were introduced and developed. I also liked the past story woven into the present. I wish it had been a little longer so some of the lingering questions could be answered.

Summer's Never Over
by Darby Bozeman
Summer Mystery (4/2/2026)
My first impression was that this book was short and I feared it would feel too rushed. I was pleasantly surprised! I love the past & present story lines and I enjoyed the manner in which the story unfolds. Excellent character development. The characters were very relatable and it was easy to visualize their respective roles in the storylines. I loved all of the details about spending time at summer camp, from a few different perspectives. It definitely left a lasting impression on me. Although I never attended a summer camp, after reading this book I feel like I just did. Bravo!

Classic Cult Mystery with Current Twists (1/3/2026)
This book was an easy read! It had a lot going on, but it was all very engaging and interesting. I love the past and present timeline storytelling that intertwines and stays true to the original point of view. Excellent character development and the added bonus of charm and romance kept the characters very likable.
The Magic of Untamed Hearts: Wild Magic #3
by Raquel Vasquez Gilliland
Untamed and a little risqué (9/28/2025)
I enjoyed this book! It's an interesting story line and I love the connection into earth, science and nature. The story strayed away from mythical world and dove straight into a romance! At times, I found the writing about the sex scenes a little too explicit and borderline raunchy.
I loved the manner in which the Author created and expressed the relationships among each of the characters. I felt how deeply bonded the sisters were, and I felt the real pain of their struggles.
The Sister's Curse
by Nicola Solvinic
Fast Moving Story (7/11/2025)
This book is everything I want in a book! It has a strong female lead/main character with a dark past that she works feverishly to overcome, while she deftly manages to preserve and maintain a solid future in a stable relationship.
It has a great storyline full of folklore and supernatural forces. The main character's flash backs are woven into the story in a thoughtful, carefully scripted way. The story flows as gently as a River when it needs to, with the added rapids and directional changes and diversions of a raging River, at times.
This book dabbles on the occult, witches, curses and crystals in a very convincing manner. Plenty of interesting and suspenseful encounters with creatures of the deep and things that go bump in the night!
I love the way the author describes the elements of nature and shows the reader the adverse effects the mismanagement of chemical waste can have on animals and reptiles. The reader instantly learns to have a tender heart for snakes!
The Bone Thief
by Vanessa Lillie
Trust No One (7/7/2025)
Everyone is a suspect and there are as many suspects as crimes committed.
This story has a lot of moving parts and few too many characters, most of which had similar one-syllable shortened names, that made it difficult to keep the good guys separate from the bad guys.
It reminds me of a cake recipe that has a long list of ingredients that don't all necessarily need to be added to the cake mix to enhance the flavor or texture to make it more palatable. Sometimes less is more…
Making Friends Can Be Murder
by Kathleen West
Appeals to multiple genres (2/3/2025)
I really enjoyed this book! It's very well written—-a little mystery, with a dash of humor and a sprinkle of romance. The characters are very relatable; they'll pull you in and the plot twists keep you invested to the finish!
One Death at a Time
by Abbi Waxman
Who Dunnit? Who knew! (12/20/2024)
One Death at a Time is a modern twist on a classic 'who dunnit' novel. The story slowly builds around characters that you love to hate and you'll change your mind time and again! The description of scenes is so vivid and the author really took time to set the stage and present the story.
Beast of the North Woods: Monster Hunter Mysteries #3
by Annelise Ryan
Whimsical Thriller (10/22/2024)
The Author's use of obscure words is tantalizing! The mystery of the Beast in the North Woods kept me intrigued from the beginning to the end. I fell in love with the main characters and I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series. I can't wait to read and see where the Author takes me on the next adventure!
