True Colors
I really enjoyed reading this book and was drawn into the story and characters right from the beginning all the way to the end. It is a story of three sisters and their lives and loves. It is an easy book to read and one I wanted to keep picking up. The characters are well developed and I really cared about them and what happened to them. The twists and turns were very interesting. I did not want the book to end. This is what I would call a great summer or beach read.

Sibling Rivalry, Again
This was an enjoyable read, but not one that I would pass along to friends as a must read. Our book club has now read four of the author's books, reading The Great Alone first and The Nightengale second. We later read Firefly Lane and this book. I have to say that Ms. Hannah's writing has definitely improved as time has progressed. The Great Alone and The Nightengale were far and above much better books than Firefly Lane and this book. Sibling rivialy and/or yearning after a sister's/friend's romantic interest seemed to be a common theme in her books which she finally got away from in The Great Alone.
Did I hate it? No. Did I love it? No. Would I recommend it? No. Would I give it to someone to read? With the qualifying statement that it was okay.

Would not reccomend book on cd with this one
I drive a long distance daily to my job. So I really enjoy books on cd. Loved The Nightingale, Four Winds. They were presented beautifully. But True colors is a different story. I couldn't even get into the story from being aggravated of how it was read. Poor woman reading it did all the voices. Men's, women's, children's. It was a disaster. I hope Kristen Hannah's other books I've ordered (I just ordered 5 books on cd) are more appropriately read.
