An informative and entertaining read. Long but you cannot get too much of a good thing!

Geography Lesson

More of a very long geography lesson with a few historical facts thrown in than an engaging, sweeping epic. I really wanted to enjoy this novel but found it very hard going. The characters were merely bit players. A creepily anthropomorphised deer and a philosophical oak tree didn't help.
