This book was absolutely awesome. I didn't completely understand it the first time but after rereading it I would have to say it is one of the best books I've EVER read.

i changed my mind... i rated this book a 1 before, but then i realized that i didnt know half the words in the book. after i looked up many many words, i loved this book. there was total chemistry between the chairman and sayuri and i loved the ending

I just wanted to say that this book has probably been the best I've ever read yet. In the beginning though I wasn't quiet sure if I should read on but when later on the story I just couldn't put it down. I had to finish!

Memories of a Geisha was an excellent book. Whoever says different must have skipped a few chapters. (naming one Rebecca who gave it a one?!) This book actually put you in it her time and place; it was like you could actually feel the experiences she was going through.
If you want a book that you can't put down and will totally blow your mind; this is the book for you.

this book bored me to tears. while Golden certainly got the place and the customs right, he certainly needed to develop the characters more. there was no chemestry between the chairman nad sayuri, the conclusion of the tale was terrifyingly bad, and it was difficult to relate to such a boring, person such as Sayuri.

Memoirs of a geisha is truly astonishing and remarkable book. This is a first book I read in few nights, it is simply impossible to let go and even when you do let go the life in Gion is still happening in your head. I must admit I was touched at the end, but in the same time I was sad because I couldn't be a part of Sayuri's life.....

This book is amazing...
There's something... Magical about it. You cannot put it down for a moment!
It's fascinating, sexy and spell casting... You can actually hear Sayuri's voice in your head, see the places, feel the touch, Smell the green tea...
If you have'nt read it yet - Run to the nearest book store now!
And to the author, Arthur Golden - You're very talented, and be sure that I will be first in line to buy another book you wrote :)

Absolutely breathtaking! I could hardly bring myself to put this fabulous
book down at all!
The detail and authenticity of this novel is astounding - I felt Japanese, I
felt I was Sayuri!
An absolute must-read for everyone.
