Granta announces 20 Best Young British Novelists

The London-based literary journal Granta has announced its new list of Best Young British Novelists (including Zadie Smith and Adam Thirlwell who were on the 2003 list.)

Granta has produced a list each decade since 1983. The 1983 list included Martin Amis, Ian McEwan, Pat Barker and Rose Tremain. The list in 1993 included Jeanette Winterson and Alan Hollinghurst. Notables from 2003 were Sarah Waters, Monica Ali and Zadie Smith.
