Four plays based on books won awards at yesterday's Tony Awards:
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Simon Stephens (book by Mark Haddon) won 5 Awards including Best Play.
Fun Home (music by Jeanine Tesori, lyrics by Lisa Kron), was nominated 12 times and won 5 Awards including Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical. The play is based on Alison Bechtel's graphic memoir.
Wolf Hall based on Hilary Mantel's first two books about Thomas Cromwell, won Best Costume Design in a Play.
The King and I, based on the memoirs of Margaret Landon won 4 Awards including Best Actress in a Musical.
The Funeral Cryer by Wenyan Lu
