Tomas Transtromer, Scandinavia's best-known and most influential contemporary poet, died on Thursday in Stockholm. He was 83. Winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2011, his work has been translated into over 50 languages, with substantial or complete editions published in over 20 languages.
