Do you think there are still fields where women struggle for acceptance?

The Fly Girls struggled to overcome gender stereotypes. Clearly much has changed over the decades. Do you think there are still fields where women struggle for acceptance?

The military, in government services such as Customs, probably in corporate headquarters.

Oh, yes, particularly in the corporate world, one can be the "secretary" in a room full of men even if you hold a corporate title. Have seen it many times! There are jobs where women do not have the physical capabilities so sometimes that is a hindrance but, that doesn't mean that women should at least be given the opportunity to try.

Yes, we particularly see this in the political arena, women are seen as shrill, pushy and too emotional. They are described by what they wear, how they look etc before listening to what they have to say.

I see the treatment today in the political arena not much different. The reporters have followed AOC through the halls of Congress commenting on her clothing. If she really is as poor as she says, how could she afford what she is wearing? Or a woman's voice is to strident or whiney, but the same is not said about a crying Supreme Court applicant.

OMG! Yes. Though the limitations are more subtle today and are more about social acceptance. Women are allowed to get into any field today where they can prove themselves. It's the constant proving of themselves that becomes wearing and continues to be a challenge. We, as women, still have a long way to go to reach equality.

Definitely! Acceptance depands on other people in the field and cannot be fully acquired using laws and rules. I think in all professional fields women still have to perform at a higher standard than men to be accepted. The most visible issues exist in the world of politics and corporate management. Less visible, but still just as difficult are the sciences and the legal system.

YES!!!!! Women truly are still a minority in many fields. The corporate world still has a small percentage of high level leaders and the pay is much less for women than men in equal positions.

Yes, just about all fields women lag behind men in 2019 by not receiving equal pay for equal work.

There is plenty of evidence that women continue to experience discrimination in most fields, including media, government, science and technology, and in the highest levels of management. Unfortunately, we also see women who do not support other women, unlike the Ninety-nines.

In almost all fields women struggle for acceptance, but there is change under foot. We have more women in Congress. However women still struggle with getting paid less than what most men earn at the same job.

Look in any boardroom, the floor of the Senate or the credits of a movie. There are so many intelligent and capable women, but they have to work twice as hard as a man.

Yes definitely, although we certainly have come a long way. In many jobs women are still underpaid and not appreciatived.

the corporate arena as well as the political arena have not changed a lot in recent years. The Me Too movement is a symbol of women finally standing up, reaching out for recognition and acceptance.

Yes, several areas: the sciences, politics, information technology. I think women have made great strides in many areas - there are many more women doctors, lawyers, in higher academia, and in the military.

Definitely, especially in the field of politics, information technology and financial workplaces. Woman have made strides in many fields however we have a long way to go to have equally in the area of compensation. Woman are worth as much as her male counterpart and should be paid accordingly.
