What do you think were some of Adrian's greatest fears? How did they play out in each of his marriages?

He wanted to be liked. He wanted to be needed. He wanted to be with someone. He wanted to do it right. His families grew up together, he let his staff our early for the Olympics, he lived in a substandard house so his ex-wives would be happy. He ignored the cry for help from Maya--just pretended it never happened. He wanted no confrontational feedback.

He feared being alone - thus the need to have a constant companion.

He feared growing older - thus marrying younger women.

He feared responsibility - thus escaping from each marriage when he could no longer feel free.

He feared not being known - and did not do much to ever help anyone out in that situation.

Adrian needed to be with someone. He liked to feel important to his children and even his former wives. We know little if his background and might wonder what made him like this.
