I actually don't think it did.

I don't think Dolly was ever jealous of Vivien. I think she wanted to be like Vivien very much, to the point of altering her own reality and seeing meaning in things when no meaning was intended. She was hurt & angry after her illusions were shattered, but not jealous. I also don't think she was jealous of Vivien's & Jimmy's growing relationship. She eventually figured out Jimmy wouldn't help her willingly, but I think it was because she thought he was just too nice, not that they were falling in love. Until the very end she planned to run away with him.

Now, Vivien's husband was certainly irrationally jealous, but it wasn't jealousy that eventually drove the plot point, but revenge.

Yes, I think there was a lot jealousy. Dorothy was jealous of Vivan who had a handsome husband who seemed to dote on her and also because she had a magnficent house and clothes and she was just a maid across the way. Dorothy also felt that Vivan had betrayed her to Lady Caldicott because she was left so little from the will and because of that, she was forced to live in a very small flat in London and work in a factory. She blamed Vivien for all her troubles at that point.

Dorothy was jealous of those who had what she wanted. She wanted nice clothes, a nice house, money. And then Henry was jealous (dangerously so) of anything that he felt might take Vivien's attention away from him.

Dorothy and Henry were both jealous people. If Henry hadn't been so jealous, he wouldn't have tracked dolly/Vivien down, and Laurel wouldn't have seen the murder and tracked down the truth about her mother.

Perhaps not so much jealousy as possessiveness, if there even is much of a distinction. Dorothy boldly seduces Jimmy, and then takes him for granted. She has conquered him; he is hers. In a similar way, Dorothy sets out to seduce Vivien with a focus so intense that Henry senses her as a rival.
