I think Clair will live the life she really wanted in the first place. She got a second chance and I think she will be grateful and happy. I think she had it within her to have a good life - she got sidetracked. I think she will have grown and changed from that experience. I think she will have more faith in herself and more self-esteem and that will guide her in the future. I think it would have taken more for Eva to be happy and do something with her life. I don't think she had Clair's character. But I like Eva and was rooting for her. I was sorry she didn't make it.

I think she would have a claim to most of the money her husband had inherited or gained in their marriage. I think just getting away from an abusive husband would change her life for the better and she would feel a burden lifted off of her shoulders.

Not sure she knows what she wants by the end of the book. I do think she will be happy, she is examining her choices and life without Rory is almost enough.

I think that gradually Claire will gain back her self esteem. I'd like to think that she would use some of her money to start a shelter for abused women or do something to help women with no other options in their lives. By helping others, she'll be able to find happiness.

I do believe Claire fully realizes the gift she has been given at the expense of Eva's life. She is an intelligent, capable woman and, once free of the physically dangerous and emotional constraints of her marriage, all indications are that she will have the opportunity to pursue a meaningful path in the future. She was a celebrity of sorts already, and there is little doubt that hers is a voice that would be heard if she so chooses.

As Clarie was able to begin the second chance she had been given, I think she would use her portion of the divorce money to establish a foundation or home for other abused women. Many women in such situations do not have the resources to end the abuse. They need help. Aiding abused women is certainly within the purview of possibilities for Claire.

I haven't really given any thought to what Claire will do next. I was dazed by Eva's death because I thought Eva had outsmarted her circumstances and finally gotten a chance for life. Certainly Claire has gotten away from her controlling and abusive husband, but with the wonderful opportunity to start over comes the realization that she should have died on the last flight. Psychologically, will she be able to get over that....
