I agree with what KimK said above - I liked that each of the three narratives were cleanly wrapped up at the end of the book but none of the endings were unexpected. Additionally, I, too, related best overall to Augusta. She was levelheaded, responsible, and able to make tough choices when the situation called for it. Also, I did respect that Lilly was even making plans to get out from under her abusive husband even before the wreck - that is brave and takes strength. The Everly narrative was hard for me to stick with - I couldn’t relate to her inability to work through her grief, her obsession with finding the driver, her self-centered wish to dive at the risk of her dive companions, etc. I don’t doubt these are possible outcomes of profound grief nor deny these are all legitimate feelings, but the fact that the loss of Mora dominated every single section was tedious.
