Who would enjoy this book?

This book has references to many books - including classics. Do you think someone would enjoy reading this book who is not a prolific reader and has not read or have reference to the books in the novel?

RE: Who would enjoy this book?

I think persons who confine their reading to lightweight material could enjoy this book, but prolific readers will love it more.

I'm going to buy copies for a few of my best reading friends. They will treasure it!

I think anyone who enjoys bookstores will pick this up because of the title. I also think that when they read the cover they will continue to check out or buy. I also believe young adults would enjoy this novel.

I do know that my book club will love this book! The continuous references to so many different pieces of literature just made me smile. It also makes the marriage of AJ and Amelia so right!!!! I have truly enjoyed this book and, though I did not like AJ dying---the ending was very satisfactory!

This book reeled me in from the start. It's a light read, but it has heart

RE: Who would enjoy this book?

My local Indie has chosen NOT to push this book, although I offered to lead a book group on it. The proprietors felt it is too much of a novel that only literary fiends can comprehend. I disagree. It appears to be a light read. Yet the literary references between chapters require thought and even some research. The reader can choose to take the character development is superficial or delve further. For example, who are Maya's role models? What impact might they have on her? Today's world goes beyond the traditional family model. Are kids better or worse off for it?
