When Lindie meets Cassie in 2015, she recognizes June in a physical gesture her grand-daughter makes. Do you recognize any mannerisms being passed down through the generations in your own family?

Of course, mannerisms are always handed down. Same as for looks and other eccentricities. I see a relative do a gesture, movement or say certain things that are like an ancestor. We pick up more than we know from our relatives - whether it is recent or not.

Yes, as I get older I look and act more and more like my mother. My two sons , now in their forties, and who both adored their grandmother, like to tell me that I am acting like grandma. I respond with, that is a compliment, even though they do not mean it as one! Boys will be boys!!

One of my sons, when he was very little, used to walk around with his hands clasped behind his back, just like my father-in-law did. Hilarious! And definitely inherited, rather than observed.

Yes. One of my sons has never really known his biological father but he has a lot of his mannerisms. The way he smiles, his voice, bring back memories of his father. I'm amazed by the power of genetics!
