Opening Pages

Did the opening pages about Eva seeing the book she had used during the war to put children's names in catch your attention from the start?

Yes. This book was extremely well written about a subject that one might not have even known about. This is one of the best books I've read in a long time...from the very beginning!

I too agree. Got me hooked right from the first page. Overall a great book and one of the best that I have read in a long time.

RE: Opening Pages

Yes , it caught my attention. but then the book never resolved that issue. What was the point? Could Eva not have helped any of those people recover their past? Were the names not as important as Eva's finding the book?

RE: Opening Pages

It definitely caught my attention and I wanted to keep reading. I never knew anything about forgers before this book so I wanted to know more. I enjoy the dual timeline and the more dual timeline I read the more I want to read. I remember several years back when that became so popular I used to hate it, but now, give me a dual timeline anytime and I'm happy. I do wish thought that the current timeline had been more prominent and had started further back in time as I wanted to know more about Eva's more recent life.

RE: Opening Pages

Dual time lines were difficult to get used to, but I love them too.
