Jane is very understanding throughout her entire situation, despite the fact that her love life was uprooted and the man that she had fallen in love with was taken from her. She does not try to fight for David or take him from Kate. This may be the right thing to have done, but do you think you could have been as noble had you been Jane? Would you have fought to be David's only woman?

I would have walked away and would hope that Kate and David would one day again have the love and relationship that they had before her illness. I think many have had their hearts broken once or twice.

I think it would be very difficult to be that noble.

I would not have fought for David. I would have ended the relationship.

I would not have fought for David. It just didn't seem fair to fight for someone who is not yours to begin with. I would have ended the relationship.

I think I would have taken a wait & see attitude, at least for a while. Kate and David hadn't had much interaction over the past few years, and it seems to me that David must have changed in the interim; people aren't static. As the "other woman," I'd wonder if Kate & David could still make things work after what was essentially time apart.

What do you find noble about Jane?

I would hope I could have been as lovely as she was.

I did not see "noble" in any character. And no, I would not have have entered into a relationship with a man whose wife was suffering from dementia and institutionalized. I think she got swept up in a complimentary flirtation and then allowed herself to be swept up in a relationship that should never have been. It disrespectful to herself and Kate.

It was an impossible situation, and I don't know who was more noble..Jane or Kate.

I could not have been so noble. I think I would have fought for the relationship and opted out if he couldn't commit to me. I think I would understand in my head about why he had found someone else, but in my heart I would not be able to handle it.

I would have let him go back to his wife. Circumstances had definitely changed and I would not have agreed to what Jane agreed to.

The relationship between Jane and David was not wrong to me, but after Kate’s recovery it certainly did get awkward. I am not sure noble is a word I would use to describe Kate. Maybe understanding of Jane’s and David’s feelings for each other and the real possibility that a relapse could be just around the corner.
