What did you think of Kate sleeping with William? Did you think she had a right to do so because David was sleeping with Jane, or do you think that was wrong of her? Would you consider it to be cheating?

This was one of the parts of the storyline I wasn't able to connect to. I understand what the author was trying to convey, but it seemed duplicious and underhanded. I didn't think it added much to the overall story.

The Kate and William trust added nothing to the story and made the most sympathetic character in a book of shallow characters very unsympathetic. And to not explore a character used in such a way, in my opinion, emphasized the lack of development in all the characters.

I consider “sleeping with” someone a very intimate act and therefore a betrayal of David. Kate seemed to want to experience what David had with Jane, but David and Jane had a loving relationship thAt led to intimacy. Kate had an intimate relationship that went nowhere.

I think her decision to sleep with William is an example of the fact that she's still not thinking clearly. This is a woman who was in a very committed marriage and, prior to her illness, I don't think she would have ever slept with another man, particularly just on a "whim." I definitely do consider it cheating.
