Would you rather be Kate or Jane in this situation?

Would you rather be Kate or Jane in this situation - the first wife who left and returned to a foreign world, or the new woman whose world was shattered by news that is supposed to be good?

I would rather be Jane. If I was Kate with my personality I would think, David does not really want to be with me, he now loves Jane. As Kate I would not be able to understand why he could not give up Jane. He should be thrilled that I am again well. Jane knows that David loves her and cannot live without her.

I would rather be Jane because I would have more control over my situation.

Both are sucky positions to be in, but I would rather be Jane. Kate has no idea if her health will hold. Even if David picks to be with her she will always wonder was it because he wants to be with me or because he felt he had to. I think even if her health holds, those would be difficult obstacles to overcome in their relationship.

While I do not envy either situation, I would choose Jane's over Kate's. Ironically, it seems as if she has the most control over the parameters. The entire relationship developed at the pace she set/chose.

This is a tough question for me, but I think I would rather be Jane. She can control her life and has more opportunities than Kate. Jane also seems to have a more dominant personality that Kate. Kate can be outspoken but ultimately her future is so unknown.
