How do you think you would react if you were one of Kate's friends?

Kate's friends and family react differently to her illness. Many of them visit her very infrequently, almost avoiding her. How do you think you would react if you were one of Kate's friends?

Well I would feel sad for Kate that she did not have a perfect relationship as in one man loving one woman but if that was her choice I would be supportive of as a friend.

I always support my friends and their decisions. My concern would be that she would get hurt and I would want to have discussions with her about that.

I would be there for Kate.

I would support Jane. Hopefully I would be a good listener and not project my value judgements to her.

Isn't there a saying that a true friend is someone who knows all your faults & loves you anyway? A true friend might not approve but they would be supportive.

If I was one of Kate's friends I think I would be very angry with David. It was one thing when she was not expect4ed to get better, but once she was "back" I think he should have called things off with Jane. Kate did not need this distraction and potential embarrassment on top of her health concerns. That being said, if she ok'd it, so be it. But I would be thinking that Kate was getting the short end of the stick.

Initially, I imagine that I would be angry. However, I would like to think that I would also understand and accept the reality of what David's life was like, especially if Kate was in favor of the arrangement.

As a friend I would be very concerned about Kate, as I would about Jane if I was one of her friends. I think eventually one of these women is going to be very devastated and hurt when the triangle relationship falls apart. In the meantime, I would be supportive of my friend.
