I'm not sure that Misty's power brought her a lot of happiness. At times it seemed to pull her under— i.e. Caroline. I wouldn't want such a power as I think it makes life more difficult when one has to deal with such "super powers."

Although Misty's ability seemed to be a form of withdrawal from society and a way to soothe herself, I always wanted to be able to talk to my pets growing up. I would like to be able to have conversations with animals- both my pets and the ones who are part of animal rescue.

I like rebeccar's answer. I'd never thought about talking to animals as a potential superpower - that's a good one! I always thought flight would be a fun superpower to have. I wouldn't want one where I'd know the thoughts of others (or, similarly, the power of invisibility) because I think I'm happier not knowing what people really think!

Misty's ability to speak outside of normal language helps her survive. In my later years, I am learning more how to communicate with the world and life in other ways. My rescue work with dog behavior has taught me how to read body language and subtle signs of communication. It think we all can be more still and listen to the universe speak to us in amazing ways.

This is an interesting thought to contemplate. I don't know that I would choose communicating with animals and things as my superpower. I would love to be able to be a healer. It might be hard to choose who could be healed though!

Misty's power was a mixed blessing. Yes it helped her through some rough situations and her loneliness, but there were times that it truly scared her and made her feel worse. The problem with super powers is that they're not always beneficial. They can back-fire!

I think we all have a super power that is greater than we know...intuition. Some people can hone in on it and follow it closely. Others have a harder time listening to it or finding it. Listening carefully to your intuition will always lead to a positive experience.

If I was to have a "super power", I would like to be able to teleport...I hate driving, lol!

I think Misty's super power is both a benefit and a hindrance because it seems to soothe her, but also overwhelms her. i cannot think of a super power that I would want for that reason.

I would not like to have Misty's ability. Instead I would like to have the power to manipulate and control time. I'd love the ability to speed it up, slow it down, & pause it.
