In the Epilogue, Jane gives Reba a recipe cookbook in honor of her "setting a wedding date." Do you think they followed through? Where do you think Riki and Reba are today?

In my happily ever after frame of mind, I'd like to think of them living in El Paso and raising a family with all of their major relationship problems behind them. Riki throughout the book was a patient and steady force and I would like to think that his understanding and perseverance would serve Reba well in overcoming her past.

I'm sort of with dorothyl on this. I'd want to know Reba didn't settle for anything she didn't truly want, that the two were equally happy with at least the important life choices they each wanted, before they ended up marrying. Because, in the long haul, the romance certainly isn't enough. Most of marriage is hard work and each person needs to feel happy and satisfied for marriages to last.

I feel as though Reba & Riki are together & making the journey together. I think their separation helped Reba, especially to decide what she really wants out of life & I think she is a much stronger person at the end of the book. Riki needs to find who he is & work through his problems, but he'll have strong Reba behind him.

I'm certain they are together. Maybe with kids, a 2 car garage and a dog or two... Seriously tho, they'd be together facing life with it's ups & downs. Both had grown during the book. Both understand the challenges of life and were ready to embrace their issues. They now have much more appreciation for the support of the other one. El Paso, maybe but might have moved on. I think Riki would still be in some service of helping other people with compassion and understanding. Reba has become an author - her books sell readily and are anticipated by her huge following.
