When did you become aware that Leon Friedman might be an imposter? What did you make of Leonora Ferris's reasons for hiring him?

I began wondering at the behavior of the man who was doing the book signing when he said, "How do you want me to play this?" When the author went to such pains to describe the woman in the audience, I had a strong feeling that she had really written the book.

Like deeh I was sort of puzzled from the first comments about how young he looked and not like his photo but did not really get it until it was actually confessed by the real author. Not particularly brilliant of me as I read a lot of who-done-its.

I thought he might be an imposter when he had to remind himself how to spell his name! But i couldn't figure out how he could have gotten there or known about the signing. It wasn't until Leonora Ferris introduces herself and Maya says "Leonora - like Leon" that I thought "aha!". Thanks, Maya!

From the moment he arrived and it was noted that he didn't look like his picture.

I didn't get it until Maya asked, but I was very confused and wondering why the author didn't look like his picture and didn't seem to know anything about the book. I did find that a very funny scene.

I thought he might be when his appearance was described as much different than picture and then his brief answers to questions.

He certainly was a bit "off" from the beginning. Quite funny actually!

I too was skeptical when his photo didn't match the book and he acted so strangely at the signing. Then when Maya linked "Leonard" with "Leonora" and how Leonora responded at the signing, I knew then.

From his first appearance. He looked younger and was unwilling to talk about his book. His odd behaviors intensified my suspicion he was not the real Leon. What a great twist to have Leonora at the wedding later.

When he questioned the way his name was spelled.

I definitely thought something was "off" about the visiting author but when the woman gave her name, I knew she had written the book.

Leon's character was off from the beginning. It was obvious to me that something was going on there and I figured it out just before Leonora confessed.

Like the other mystery people , I did not catch it.

I thought that Leon was just clueless about book signings. I have to admit that I didn't catch on right away. I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Oh, I didn't catch on for a long time. When he acted like Santa, taking the little girl on his lap, I thought it was weird. But I still didn't get it.

I loved to be fooled by an author!
