Yes! I admit I spent a lot of time Googling the various people the author mentions. I'd especially like to know more about Gevork Vartanian, the young bicyclist who was a Soviet agent, and Otto Skorzeny, the officer who led the mission to free Mussolini.

Yes, I found that I wanted to know more about several people mentioned. Mike Reilly, Secret Service Chief, handled such a responsibility. What kind of man was Capt. Otto Skorzeny, who crash landed his plane to rescue Mussolini? Did Walter Schellenberg really want to negotiate a peace with the Allies and then did he fool his captors at the Nuremberg trials?

I did not research any of the individuals yet, but it was very interesting to me that very few of the people that we always hear about when reading about WWII were never or only briefly mentioned - Eisenhower, Patton, MacArthur - or Nazi leaders that are often mentioned. The more I read to more I am amazed at how many people were an important part of the war and how many people had important missions and responsibilities to come together for one important goal.

I haven't done further research at this point, but might in the future, especially in regard to some of the Nazi officers that I hadn't heard of previously.

I looked up several of the other individuals mentioned in the book including Allies and Axis. I find it fascinating to learn about people in the background and their impact on events.
