What a down to earth, intelligent, inspirational woman. Although I followed the Obama campaign and presidency closely, i did not know a lot about Michelle Obama. Her selflessness to her family, friends, community and the causes she chose to focus on are truly inspirational.

I am a big fan of Ms. Obama, and love listening to her speak. I really enjoyed the book, and found her inspiring and engaging. I really loved the way she wrote about life in the White House, how her family lived as well as how things run there. I wish there was a bit more detail about that whole aspect. I really found it interesting when she spoke about being at Princeton as a very visible minority, but she actually spoke little about the actual classes. There was nothing about Harvard, which was weird. I found inspiration from her writings about how they parented their children - they have done such a good job - but then she told us how amazing her own parents were!
All in all Ioved this book!

I though it was a piece of crap and feel like I wasted my money.

I loved reading about Michelle Obama! She’s an amazing, inspiring and down to earth woman. I like how the book was split into three parts and how the title of the book related to the three different parts. I’m not used to reading memoirs, so that was a bit of a struggle for me. I don’t know if I would have finished such a long memoir of someone I didn’t admire so much. By the end of the book, I felt like I had gotten to know her very well and I was glad I made it to the end.

Overall, I found Becoming to be an incredible book. It was easy to read and so easy to identify with. reading it made me identify with a First Lady of the US in a way that I Never imagined would be possible. I loved her story. It was well written, detailed and enjoyable.
