There are many, but none that were as serious as Townsend's insult and insubordination. I also learned how to apologize - when I meant it! It's hysterical that dunderhead was so insulting - now it is almost an obscure term of endearment.

In the heat of anger surely everyone has said or done something regrettable. His situation was different because it changed the course of his life but in the end, it all turned out for the best. He became a hero, met Emma and had a hope of getting back into the Navy.

Im sure I have said many things in the heat of anger. Hopefully, if I have said something hurtful, I have recognized it and apologized. As I’ve gotten older, I try to think before I say something I can't retract.
