Is it possible to be in love with someone and not know it?

Emma and Dexter both seem to be in love with each other without realizing it. Is this possible in real life?

I think it's very possible to be in love with someone and not know it. Everyone has their ideal of what love is and we are driven by our needs which may eclipse the reality of our feelings. As we mature we recognize that the fantasy of love is not the same as the reality of love.

It is certainly possible to not recognize happiness when one finds it.

I think so. Sometimes we are not self aware about our own emotions. It can take a traumatic event or some other catalyst for us to realize our true feelings.

I think that it is possible that you have feelings and care for someone. When the moment turns you know that you are in love- it feels different.
