Discuss the differences between the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany, and the treatment of blacks in the South

It is said that Hitler drew his first ideas about how to treat the Jews from blacks being denied civil rights in the South. What do you think are the differences?

Hitler may have gotten some ideas from the South, but he carried them many steps further! The plantation owners, some of them, cared for their workers. Hitler did not care for the Jews. They were less than human!!!

This is not a question that even belongs in this discussion. Only the act of hatred is a similarity between the Holocaust and the treatment of African Americans in the South

There are some similarities - both were based on hatred of a group of people who were different

In the case of slavery, economic issues were the driving factor, plus the belief Africans were "lesser," not equal to whites. The Holocaust was driven by pure hatred for a people, again, considered "sub-human." There are a lot of similarities, though the Holocaust was mainly for the purposes of genocide and slavery for the economic benefit of rich plantation owners.

Many similarities existed. Power, belief of superiority over the blacks and the super German race..all grounded in hatred self promotion and evil!
