All life is precious. This book has made me even more thankful that I live in a country of freedoms.

Hold on to your dreams and never give up. Saw that so much in Abu Laith.

None of us can truly know what goes on in the life of another, and war is hell!

Never giving up. If at first you don’t succeed....etc.

Love all of these! The book definitely has strong messages about never giving up and the power of hope.

I think mine would be: Never be afraid to stand up for what you feel is right.

There are several morals that could be taken from this book. I think the perserverance of the human spirit in times of tragedy is an important one. People are stronger and can endure more than they ever thought possible.
